Ramesh Kumar Safaya is an architect, urban planner and designer. He’s held key positions in executing projects of significance linked to city and regional planning. He has been involved with India’s flagship urban reforms program – Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and was also a key planner for revitalization project of heritage-rich cities in India. He has been involved in development and organization of various consultancy projects on housing, commercial and institutional township Projects. He has worked with key Indian organizations like Housing and Urban Development Corporation Organisation (HUDCO), Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Indian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). Safaya has contributed in organizing exhibitions in South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago. He is also a Fellow of Indian Institute of Architects, Council of Architecture (India), Institute of Town Planners (India), and Institute of Transport (India).
