Maneesh Pandey is the Chief of National Bureau of Mail Today, a leading English daily published from New Delhi, India, and London. He has 17 years of professional experience of which the last 10 years have been in key leadership positions, including as Chief Reporter in The Times of India and Chief of City Bureau in Mail Today prior to the current position. He had started Mail Today’s City Bureau and nurtured young reporters. A post-graduate in History from Delhi University, he is Charles Wallace Fellow to School of Oriental & African Studies, London, and Asia Pacific Leadership Program fellow at the East West Centre in Hawaii (USA). He has also been a Visiting Faculty at the Danish School of Journalism in Aarhus University, Denmark. He has carved a niche in Indian media reporting on governance and development issues, citizens’ partnership in local governance and Right to Information (RTI). He is on Jury of National Tourism Awards of Government of India and was also associated with UNESCO as its Editorial consultant and in its Urban Heritage Roundtable in New Delhi earlier. Maneesh is widely travelled in Asia and Europe, has reported from cities such as London, Berlin, Honolulu, Beijing and Kathmandu, and has a sound understanding of the core issues in the Asia-Pacific region and their co-relation to the global dynamics.
