Bhadra Sinha is a journalist specializing in legal affairs and is currently working as Assistant Editor with Hindustan Times in New Delhi. In a career span of 13 years, she has worked with four leading media houses in the country – Indian Express, Times of India, India Today Group and Hindustan Times. Sinha is a Graduate in English from Gargi College (Delhi University) and holds a Bachelors degree in Law also. She has specialized in legal reforms and had also stressed on the dire need to improve the working conditions at trial courts and reduce the case pendency in courts. She has widely covered the Quota issue and is currently diversifying in legal issues related to women and girl child. She comes from a family of lawyers and would be contributing to the Foundation in areas seeking empowerment about legal rights for disadvantaged social strata, including women and tribes. She is currently reporting extensively on issues of compensation to women seeking divorce from husbands and on those linked to domestic violence. A mother of two daughters, she is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer who had learnt the art under renowned dancer Yamini Krishnamurthy.
